Jesus prayed to God in heaven, Papa, save me from this hour.
Take this cup away from me. I know that you have the power.
Jesus prayed and then he wept, to his weary friends returned.
They were sleeping, lost in dreams of the Kingdom for which they yearned.
Jesus prayed, then told his friends,
Pray you never face this test.
All is done; the hour is come. You can sleep and have your rest.
Abba's cup I now accept. A Son of man now men betray.
Rise up! Rise up! Let us go! My betrayer's not far away.
