We thank you, God, because you”ve shown the holy truth in Christ alone,
and Jesus’ life for following. Your praises ever we shall sing!

Yet better food to us you send: Christ’s bread and wine, life without end.

We thank you, God, for David’s vine and Jesus’ blood transformed to wine.
You made all things for your name’s sake: grapes to ferment and grain to bake.
